Belgian food… first thing that comes to mind? Chocolates. However, that’s not what I had for lunch at Setia Walk in Puchong. It was a family gathering, and DH was hankering for meat, so that’s why we ended up there.
We were a large family crowd and ordered quite a bit of food, but I only managed to taste the pumpkin soup, saute mushrooms, fish and chips, carbonara, pork bacon cheese burger and grilled pork chops.
With the LO in tow, I had my hands full making sure she had her food. So in the end, I only managed to take pictures of two plates of food, and here they are.
Brussel’s Pork Bacon Cheese Burger
Hello lovely! This was great, DH declares this as his new favourite pork burger to date! I loved their thick-cut fries as well, spot on!

With that excellent pork burger as a benchmark, my expectations were very high by the time the last dish was served – the grilled pork chop. FYI, it took them a loooong time to serve this, almost after everyone else had finished their meal.
Grilled pork chop
Presentation was fantastic, but the taste… omg. The meat was dry, tough and lacked seasoning. The accompanying mash wasn’t any much better. I had to force myself to finish this in order not to waste food. So disappointing!
Pumpkin soup was creamy goodness and my LO lapped it up enthusiastically. The sauted mushrooms were a huge crowd favourite too. As for the fish and chips, it was delightful. The only complaint about the carbonara was that it was too salty.
The lunch menu was limited, as the kitchen was still preparing food. I might suggest having a special lunch menu printed instead of presenting guests with the full menu and later telling the guests that what they wanted to order is not available for lunch. I almost wanted to leave at that point.
Fortunately, most of the things I sampled here was delicious, but I will never ever order that pork chop again, nor would I wish it upon my worst enemy. That was the most horrendously unpalatable piece of meat I’ve ever had. But as its name suggests, it’s a beer cafe and there’s a huge selection of beers and beer food that I did not get to try. So to be fair, I will give it another chance next time.
They have many outlets in KL and even one in Penang but i will list down only the one I went to.
